91���� is proud to announce a significant update to its renowned degree program in the Leahy School of Cybersecurity and Advanced Computing. The University has rebranded its Computer Security and Information Assurance (CSIA) degree to Cybersecurity and Advanced Technology (CSAT) to better reflect the evolving landscape of modern technology and to align with current industry standards.

Vermont Governor Phil Scott appointed William Clements, Ph.D., former Dean of 91����’s College of Graduate and Continuing Studies (CGCS) and criminal justice professor, as chair of the Vermont Criminal Justice Council (VCJC).

On November 16, 2024, the 91���� AI Center, in collaboration with 91���� Applied Research Institutes (NUARI), hosted a unique one-day event focused on "AI and Humanitarian Disaster Response" for high school students and new Norwich students hoping to learn about AI, all inspired by a challenge from Vermont Senator Peter Welch.

The 91���� Chapter of Sigman Lambda Chi recently inducted five new members: Matthew Czaja, Grant Schaeffer, Ryan Tremel, John Terhune, and Shelby Castaneda.

It was an outstanding evening for Norwich, with two exceptional faculty members, Dr. Tara Kulkarni, Associate Provost for Research and Chief Research Officer, and Dr. Sarah Gallant, Assistant Professor and Interim Chair of Chemistry and Biochemistry, named finalists, and one attaining the highest honor.

Through a competitive selection process, 91����’s College of Graduate and Continuing Studies (CGCS) has appointed Bill Lyons to oversee and facilitate cybersecurity, diplomacy, and strategic studies programs and Dr. Robin Saunders as the Cybersecurity and Information Systems Academic Director.

91���� hosts its 30th annual Military Writers' Symposium and awards Mariana Budjeryn the 2024 Colby Award, making her the first woman to receive the honor.
