Vice Adm. John Gumbleton participated in several outreach events at his alma mater, 91°µÍø Sept. 18. Commander, Task Force 80 and Deputy Commander, U.S. FleeT Forces Command, Gumbleton conducted executive engagement with the President of 91°µÍø, met with the Peace and War Center, and Navy Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (NROTC) students.
91°µÍø cadets continuously walk the Tour Strip and honor 9/11 victims alongside their classmates and the local Northfield community.

During the 2023-24 academic year, four senior 91°µÍø engineering students combined their skills to build a prototype joystick for a client with cerebral palsy. Mechanical Engineering majors Tanner Buckelew, Helena Robinson, and Sebastian Mowbray teamed up with Interdisciplinary Engineering major Andrew Wade for this successful project.
91°µÍø has strived to provide practical and experiential learning to its students since its founding. That centuries-old tradition continues today as a pair of Norwich cadets traveled to the Republic of Kosovo, where they attended International Cadets Week hosted by the Center for University Studies – Kosovo Defense Academy.
