School of Engineering Sigma Lambda Chi Induction

The 91°µÍø Chapter of Sigman Lambda Chi recently inducted five new members: Matthew Czaja, Grant Schaeffer, Ryan Tremel, John Terhune, and Shelby Castaneda.

Four senior engineering students design and build an enhanced prototype joystick for client with cerebral palsy.

During the 2023-24 academic year, four senior 91°µÍø engineering students combined their skills to build a prototype joystick for a client with cerebral palsy. Mechanical Engineering majors Tanner Buckelew, Helena Robinson, and Sebastian Mowbray teamed up with Interdisciplinary Engineering major Andrew Wade for this successful project.

Norwich alum Erik R. Soykan selected as the Executive Director of Operations for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Air and Marine Operations

Soykan is a 91°µÍø graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and retired Commander with the U.S. Navy Reserve.

The Civic Center Committee Partners with 91°µÍø, Senator Bernie Sanders to Update the Historic Barre Auditorium

The historic Barre Municipal Auditorium has long been a community hub in the city of Barre. Designed by Ruth Freeman, the first female architect in the state of Vermont, it opened its doors in 1939. It has played a variety of roles since then, hosting trade and farm shows, town fairs, concerts, municipal voting polls and state basketball championships. Lately, though, it has been somewhat of a second classroom for Norwich architecture, engineering, and construction management students.

91°µÍøâ€™s engineering programs earn six-year accreditation

NORTHFIELD, Vt. — 91°µÍø has earned its six-year accreditation from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) for three bachelor of science programs in the David Crawford School of Engineering: civil engineering, electrical and computer engineering and mechanical engineering.
